As you’re probably aware, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is underway, and this year is a cracker.
We are so lucky to have a show of such high standard and size here in Melbourne. It’s rated among the top five flower and garden shows in the world and is the largest horticultural event in the southern hemisphere. How cool is that?

You’ll have to pick your jaw off the floor when you head through the mind-blowing floral feast in the Great Hall.
Here’s a few pics:

The skill, imagination and creativity of the displays of established florists and up and coming designers is astounding.
Things to see and do for the flower fanatics
Lots of demonstrations and talks, floral design competitions by floral designer students and for the first time, Flowers Victoria have handpicked eighteen boutique florists and wedding stylists to showcase their designs and different approaches to floral wedding decorating on a huge table, vying for the people’s choice award.

Or you can sign up for a workshop – Kate Hill Flowers and Melbourne Flower School’s Floral Workshops give visitors the chance to create their own masterpieces. Tickets are on sale at melbflowershow.com.au.
And fill up your basket on the way home from the on-site flower market.

There’s also loads of horticulture, garden design, landscaping and grower exhibits, talks, displays, competitions.
