I’m pretty sure I burnt dinner, the day I came across Ponderosa and Thyme on Instagram. Woa! Click to website. WOW.
The words I read on Katie’s website, along with her divine imagery was so utterly captivating, I almost signed up for a workshop in France with a price tag of $6,000 US.
Her style was stunningly beautiful and my kind of floral design but there was something more to it. Katie talked of accessing your unique creativity and artistry through flowers at a list of destination workshops in the most exhilarating of venues.
I had been searching for this sort of teaching and I sooo badly wanted to book that week at Chateau Guadanes…… If you didn’t catch wind of this one, here’s what it promised…
“In this beautiful place we will dig deep into the heart of creativity, encouraging each other in the process of finding our place and our voice in the world as artists. Exhilarating, life giving, life changing.
This workshop is designed for new and experienced florists as well as photographers, stylists, creatives and dreamers that want to grow and expand their skill set for more flexibility and creativity in their work.
So that life changing week in the French Pyrenees, was last week. I watched wistfully as the intsagram posts from the Chateau appeared in my feed. I tried not to burn the dinner this time.… One day, I thought.
Well, as luck would have it…
You may have heard….Katie is coming down our way this November!!!
The beautiful flower farm of Crofter’s Fold Estate, just outside Kyneton Victoria, will host a day with Katie from Ponderosa and Thyme as part of the Macedon Ranges ‘Live.Love.Life Festival.
And if you get in quick…. there’s still some tickets left..
Danielle and Ashley from Crofter’s Fold Estate are excited to introduce Katie to the region’s flowers and flower farmers with this exclusive and intimate event – Farmhouse Floral Goodness.
“Our purpose for holding the gathering is to help elevate the message that local is lovely and hopefully gain some attention/sales and farmgate visits from Melbourne flower folk for all our bee-friendly flower farmer friends,” Danielle said.
“Katie is an advocate of the #seasonalfloweralliance too, so that’s really in sync with what we believe here on the farm.
“The gathering will provide a supportive, inspiring, mindful space – to help boost self-confidence and connect with like-minded flower folk and, of course, Katie!” said Danielle.
Katie will demonstrate a ‘wild ‘n’ free’ floral bouquet using local, bee-friendly flowers and chat about the role of meditative floral design in wellness. And with only 20 guests, it will remain intimate with personal opportunity to observe and ask questions.
“We hope to inspire people to believe in themselves and their dreams..”
“Katie is an authentic advocate for being true and generous to others and yourself and this fits with our philosophy.
“And we hope Katie will consider returning to the farm in the future to run one of her fully-fledged workshops! Another great opportunity for our local flower farmers and floral designers/florists! Fingers crossed!” Danielle said.
Guests will join Katie for a long-table farmhouse dinner fully catered – this will be a time to enjoy lots of great food, wine and shared conversation.
Guests will also take home an armful of flowers and a curated gift bag.
A professional photographer – Leon Schoots – will capture the day and guests will get copies for use on their socials.
10% savings for tickets paid in full before 31 August ($1350 instead of $1500).
The Live.Love.Life.Festival will run from 14 – 18 November 2018, and celebrates and rejuvenates wellness through connection to Mother Nature, music, community, culture, creativity, art, food, wine + flowers.
